Why You’ll Love Living in Independence Commons
Looking to rent or buy a manufactured home right in the heart of Michigan? HomeFirst™’s Independence Commons community in Potterville, Michigan could be just what you’re looking for! Whether you’re a single person, a family, or a retiree, you’ll find that living in Independence Commons has a lot to offer. Here are just a few of the great benefits to living here:
Great Location Near Major Cities
They say location is everything when you’re looking for a home and Independence Commons certainly has an excellent location! Potterville is just a short drive away from Lansing, the state capital. If you don’t mind driving a little bit further, Potterville is approximately an hour’s drive away from Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Flint, and Kalamazoo, plus Jackson is only about 40-50 minutes away. Being so close to so many cities, you’ll never find yourself short of fun things to do!
Independence Commons is located very close to Potterville Public Schools. Not only do students of Potterville Public Schools get an excellent education, all of their schools (an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school) are very conveniently located together on one campus. If you have more than one school-aged child, you won’t have to worry about getting one child to school on time, then having to rush to another part of town to drop off another at a different school.
Potterville is home to some beautiful parks! If you like playing baseball or softball, you’ll love visiting Lake Alliance Park with its 4 baseball/softball fields. Lake Alliance Park also features a playground, a covered pavilion, pro shop, hiking trail, and a lake with boat launches and docks for fishing. Fox Memorial Park is a wonderful place to spend a day by the water; they have three ponds for swimming or fishing. And be sure to come by at night and visit the Fox Park Public Observatory! Since the park is located far enough away from city lights, you’ll have an unbeatable view of the night sky. And then there’s Potterville City Park, located right off Main Street and Hartel, which is a great family destination with its playground, baseball field, basketball court, picnic area, and pavilions!
As if there weren’t already so many fun and exciting things to do around our Independence Commons community, there are even more wonderful things you can do right in the community. You can visit with your friends and neighbors in our community clubhouse, take a swim in the pool, watch your kids have fun on the playground, or get in shape at our 24-hour fitness center.
