Who’s Coming to The Crofoot in Pontiac in January?

Ready to check out some live music? One venue that can’t be overlooked is The Crofoot in Pontiac. The Crofoot is a small, intimate venue, popular with many local bands and musicians.

On January 16, post-hardcore rock band Silverstein will be playing the Crofoot Ballroom with special guests Beartooth, Hands Like Houses, Major League, and My Iron Lung, as part of a tour celebrating the band’s fifteenth anniversary. Silverstein has played over 1,500 shows and released six full length albums, which have sold over one million copies, and shows no signs of slowing down. Tickets are $18 if purchased in advance or $22 if purchased on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Mike Mains & the Branches is originally from Texas, but they have relocated to Michigan and found a very strong following here and elsewhere throughout the country. Their most recent album, “Calm Down, Everything is Fine,” was released in February 2014 and debuted at #15 on the Billboard Top New Artist Album chart. They will be playing in the Pike Room on January 17 along with Shapes & Colors, Trey Simon, and Royale. Doors open at 7:00 PM and tickets are $10 in advance or $12 on the day of the show.

Interested in checking out some local bands and singers? The Crofoot is committed to giving a platform to up-and-coming local talent. On January 25, local musicians Mizmazduh, THEM!, Rachel Lee Williams, Copneconic, and Ready Set Reset will be hitting the stage of the Pike Room. It promises to be a night full of great music by a diverse range of local talent. Doors open at 5:00 PM and tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the show.

On January 30, the Sterling Heights based Rival Summers will be in the Pike Room with other Metro Detroit based acts Fifth and Main, Ellis, and Jon Bugg. Rival Summers is a rock band with an acoustic and piano driven sound and the band has made several appearances on the Vans Warped Tour. Fifth and Main describes their sound as indie folk rock while Ellis is an alternative rock band and Jon Bugg is a singer/songwriter/guitar player. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the show. Doors open at 7:00 PM.

The Crofoot is located at 1 South Saginaw in Pontiac, on the southeast corner of Pike and Saginaw. Tickets for shows can be purchased online, at the Crofoot during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM), or by calling (248)858-9333 extension 5. All events are general admission, so it’s best to arrive early to ensure you get a good spot. Parking is available for $3 in a large, secured parking lot right across the street from the venue.
