Rick Springfield Comes to MotorCity Casino February 15
On February 15th, Rick Springfield will be performing at the Sound Board at MotorCity Casino in Detroit. Most famous for his 1981 #1 hit “Jessie’s Girl,” Grammy award winner Rick Springfield has been working as a musician since the 1960s. In addition to his long musical career, Springfield also has a noteworthy acting resume that includes many appearances on stage and in film and television, including General Hospital, Hot in Cleveland, The Rockford Files, Californiacation, and Hawaii 5-0. He released an autobiography, “Late, Late at Night: A Memoir,” in 2010, which became a New York Times Best Seller.
Opening for Rick Springfield is rock band The Hamiltons. This concert is a benefit for Goodwill Rock for Jobs. Proceeds from the event will be used to support Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit’s initiatives to help get people in the Metro Detroit area back to work through job training and job placement programs. This will be the fourth annual Rock for Jobs concert. Past Rock for Jobs headliners include Bret Michaels and saxophonist Alto Reed.
The show starts at 7:30 PM and ticket prices range from $40-$50. All attendees are required to be at least 21 years old. Tickets are available online or at the Sound Board box office at MotorCity Casino. MotorCity Casino is located at 2901 Grand River in Detroit.
