Heading Back to School in a HomeFirst™ Community

It’s that time of year again! Summer is drawing to a close and it’s about time for kids to start picking up their backpacks and heading back to school. Starting a new school year can be an exciting, and sometimes frustrating, time. But when you live in a HomeFirst™ community, we make going back to school as easy as possible.

Our HomeFirst™ manufactured housing communities are all located near some excellent school districts. Residents of Augusta Woods can send their children to school in the Lincoln Consolidated School District, which includes seven different schools in Augusta Township, including Bishop Elementary, which is one of the few elementary schools in the entire country to have Spanish immersion programs for kindergartners and first graders. Kids who live in our Walnut Ridge or English Meadows communities are able to attend classes in the desirable Jackson Public School District, which has a reputation for excellence and continually improving.

If you lived in our Riverbrook or Meadow Creek communities in New Haven, your kids could go to school in New Haven Community Schools, located just minutes away from home! Potterville Public Schools are also located just down the road from our Independence Commons community.  Thinking of living in Woodland Ridge? Your children could go to school at South Lyon Community Schools, which is rated an 8 out of 10 on GreatSchools. Springrove residents are able to send their kids to school in Holly Public Schools and the children in our Clinton River community go to school in Mount Clemens Community Schools.

Every morning, school busses come right into the community and pick kids up from the clubhouse. Once they get home after school, kids can come to the clubhouse and have a snack before heading over to the playground located in the community for a bit of after school fun. Since kids in the community go to the same schools, they’ll probably have similar homework assignments. Our community clubhouse would be a great place for kids to get together and work on homework and other projects together.

HomeFirst™ manufactured housing communities are excellent places to raise children. Not only are they located near great schools, there are so many other fun things to do around the community like taking a swim in the community swimming pool or playing basketball on one of our basketball courts. And don’t forget our frequent community events like ice cream socials and potluck dinners! Since our communities are located in some of Michigan’s most sought after locations, you’ll be living close to lots of fun, family friendly things to do. Take a look at some of the amazing manufactured homes available to rent or own in our communities. We’d love to have you join the community!
