Having Fun in Downtown Holly!
Holly, Michigan is celebrated for its very historic small town charm; it’s the type of town that seems like it could be seen in a Norman Rockwell painting. One of the best things about living in our Springrove manufactured housing community is that you’ll be just a short drive away from this lovely city. Although Holly may be a small town, there’s never a shortage of things to do there!
Downtown Holly is a positively bustling neighborhood full of great restaurants and unique stores. You’ll be able to find hair salons, antique stores, a bookstore, clothing stores, coffee shops, breweries, bakeries, gyms, and so much more all conveniently located in and around the downtown Holly area.
No matter what time of year it is, there’s always something unique happening in downtown Holly. During the summer months, families can have a night out together by checking out the Movies on Battle Alley series, a series of free outdoor movies on Saturday nights. Once the seasons start to turn from summer to fall, you’ll be right in the neighborhood for the Michigan Renaissance Festival. Just before Halloween, they have their annual Holly-Ween event, which is a wonderfully fun event the whole family can enjoy. Near the end of the year, there’s always their famous Holly Dickens Festival, which brings the downtown area back to the era of Charles Dickens complete with carolers and people in historical costumes.
When you live so close to Holly, you might want to keep an eye out for events happening at the Karl Richter Community Center for fun events like Halloween parties, murder mystery parties, open gym nights, dodgeball games, beading classes, craft shows, fitness classes, movie nights, and many more other fun events. No matter how old you are, the Karl Richter Community Center is bound to have something you can enjoy!
If you want to spend a bit of time in nature, the Holly Recreation Area isn’t far from downtown Holly and covers almost 8,000 acres of land. Here, you’ll be able to spend a day on the beach at Heron Lake, play disc golf, go fishing, rent a cabin, camp, go for a hike, go skiing or snowmobiling, and more.
