Fall Fun in Mount Clemens

The fall season is a perfect time to get out and about. It’s not too hot anymore and it’s not too cold yet, either. With the leaves starting to turn colors, there’s a lot of pretty scenery to admire. And since the weather is still nice enough, many cities are having lots of outdoor events to make the most of it while it lasts!

For fun fall activities, HomeFirst™’s Clinton River manufactured housing community in Mount Clemens is an excellent place to be. The city of Mount Clemens is home to lots of fun community events all year long, but the fall season is a particularly fun time to live in the area.

The Mount Clemens Farmers Market is open every Friday and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, but Saturday, October 10th is going to be a unique day to be there because they’ll be having their annual soup day. Visitors will have the chance to sample lots of delicious homemade soups made out of farm-fresh ingredients. Soup will start being served at 8:00 AM and will keep on going until all the soup is sold out.  What better way to spend a fall day?

On October 24th, the city of Mount Clemens will be getting into the Halloween spirit a little bit early with their annual Halloween Spooktacular and Trunk or Treat events. The Halloween Spooktacular runs from 1:00-4:00 PM and is an amazing event for families with young children. Kids can trick-or-treat at local businesses, play miniature golf, see a 20 foot tall black cat, visit the haunted hallway, play games, do arts and crafts, and more! If your kids want to do a little extra trick-or-treating, the Trunk or Treat event will go from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM the same day in the parking structure on Market Street. Best of all, the Halloween Spooktacular and Trunk or Treat events are both completely free to attend!

For something a little different, you could always take a trip with the Clinton River Cruise Company for their big Halloween Cruise on October 24th. They also have a Halloween dinner cruise on October 30th. Both cruises are bound to be a great time!

If you still want some more fall fun, our Clinton River community is approximately a 35 minute drive away from Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill. Blake’s is one of the most popular apple orchards in Michigan and with good reason. Every weekend in September and October, they have their annual Fall Festival celebrations with train rides, petting zoo, a haunted village, playground, cornfield maze, and tons of other fun activities. You can also take a hayride out to a pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin or take a trip out to the orchard and pick your own apples. If you’re feeling brave, you can also check out their nighttime haunted hayride or their three story haunted barn. Blake’s is a place that truly has something for everyone!
As a resident of Clinton River, you’ll be able to have an affordable home right in the neighborhood of all of these wonderful places and events. In addition to all the fun things happening in the area, you’ll also be able to enjoy excellent community amenities like playgrounds, basketball courts, and community events held in the clubhouse. Clinton River and the Mount Clemens area are an amazing place to call home, so take a look at some of the manufactured homes available here and contact us if you’re interested. If you’re interested in one of our homes, act fast because our homes can sell quickly!
