The sun is out, the snow is gone, and the days are still getting longer. It’s a great time to live in Michigan, and we want to help you make the most of this beautiful weather! Over the next few weeks, we’re going to share our favorite outdoor activities near every HomeFirstTM Certified Community.
Today we take a look at Clinton River. Here are our favorite things to do in and around this Mount Clemens manufactured home community.
Bike Around Town
Mount Clemens is one of the most beautiful in Oakland County. Ride a bike around town and experience the natural surroundings. If you’re feel extra adventurous, head over to Sterling Heights, just a short distance west. Biking is a great way to get your heart rate up and explore your community.
Mount Clemens is right on the shores of Lake St. Clair separating Michigan and Ontario. Lake St. Clair is great for swimming as well as fishing. The waters are still heating up after this brutal winter, but give it a few weeks and this majestic body of water will be the go-to-spot when you need to cool down.
One of the many perks of living in Clinton River is that the manufactured home community offers local boating and fishing access. Grab a fishing pole, find a comfortable perch above the lake and see if you can reel in a fish. Who knows…maybe you’ll even catch dinner for the evening!
Walk Around Town
Downtown Mount Clemens has a lot to offer. Saunter down Macomb Street and take in the beauty of century old gazebos, mesmerizing water fountains and stunning gardens. When you’re hungry, grab a bite at one of the city’s delicious delicatessens, restaurants, pubs or coffee shops. There’s not a dull moment to be had!
