South Lyon, MI has many events throughout the year. Some city favorites include Concerts in the Park, Cool Yule, Farms Markets, Labor Day Bridge Walk and Pumpkinfest!
Parks & Outdoor Recreation:
South Lyon offers 3 parks!
McHattie Park (15 acres) features playground equipment, baseball diamonds, volleyball courts, a sledding hill, outdoor skating and hockey rink, the Witch’s Hat Depot Museum and the Little Village Chapel.
Volunteer Park (130 acres) is home to the city sports facility. It’s a great place to come and see a local game or get back to nature.
Paul Baker Memorial Park features a beautiful fountain and gazebo and makes for a great stop along the Huron Valley Rail Trail.
Other parks located in and around Oakland County Michigan include Kensington Metropark, Island Lake recreation Area and Maybury State Park.
