Maker Faire Detroit underway

Need something fun to do, that’s local and educational this weekend? Then this is your answer!

No need to sit around the house with restless children this weekend. The Maker City Faire is in the works on July 30 and 31st at the Henry Ford in Dearborn, so you can easily plan a day of fun for the whole family!

This Fair is a two-day, interactive and family-friendly event that will have 300+ exhibiting makers, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops that will be perfect for the kids! There will be arts and crafts, food , and music like your average fair – but there will also be science and technology projects with a Do-It-Yourself mindset to expand your mind!

The Maker Faire, coined as ‘Motor city to Maker city’, will be in operation from 9:30am to 6:00pm at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Children ages 5 to 12 get in for only $19 and children under the age of 4 get in free! This is a great opportunity to show your kids the great innovations that were created right here in their home state!
