Our Woodland Ridge Community Manager Sandy Martini Gives Back!
Recently our Woodland Ridge Community Manager Sandy Martini was a team captain for Relay for Life 2010. Sandy and her team participated in this national 24 hour event to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society.
This year’s Relay was made even tougher because it was a cold and rainy weekend in Michigan. The teams even sleep near the track because someone from the team needs to be on the track at all times. Sandy and her team raised $900 for the American Cancer Society.
The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Relay for Life is a life-changing event that bring together more than 3.5 million people to:
- Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue to fight.
- Remember loved ones lost to the disease. At Relay, people who have walked alongside people battling cancer can grieve and find healing.
- Fight Back. They Relay because they have been touched by cancer and desperately want to put an end to the disease.

Thank you Sandy Martini!
