All of these gifts and activities can be set up day of, so if you are short on time, these are perfect, fun and thoughtful ideas. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • The classic bouquet of flowers

Don’t just buy a dozen roses; buy an interesting and unique bouquet of flowers. Extra points if they have her favorite flower in them.

  • A planned night in

Plan out some fun activities to do at home and cook up a light dinner. Play a board game, cards or make crafts together.

  • A framed print of her favorite picture

Take a digital photo, print it out and find a great frame. This shows you care and you put a personal touch on something that they already like!

  • Homemade baked goods

Nothing is more special than a homemade cookie, cake or muffin made with love.

  • Get a room

There is always something fun about staying in a hotel and just going out on the town. It’s almost like a day “staycation.”

  • Go play a game

If you don’t like the idea of sticking around at home, head out to an adult arcade. Dave & Busters is a great choice, just go out and let the kid in you come play too!

  • Get out on the ice

There isn’t a more appropriate time to go ice skating than in mid-February on Valentine’s Day.

  • Take her to an event

There are plenty of events that you could consider going to. A sporting event, a concert or an art show; all of these are great activities to do together.

  • Get competitive

Getting competitive over video games at home is a cheap and fun filled way to spend your evening. Better yet, go out and find the old childhood video games you both used to love, and go head to head!

  • Have a jam session

Pour some glasses of wine, dim the lights and put on her favorite album. Better yet, take that album, frame the artwork and hang it on the wall to enjoy while listening to the music.
