HomeFirst™: Giving Back and Improving Lives
At HomeFirst™, we’re thrilled to have so many wonderful communities full of amazing residents. Of course, we always want to find ways to improve our communities and make them better places for our residents to live. But why stop at just improving our communities? We also like to reach out to various organizations and charities to help make the rest of the world a better place to live, too.
One cause we’re very passionate about supporting is the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. Our communities raise money for this great cause throughout the year and have been able to make a big difference in the lives of children who are suffering from terminal and life-threatening illnesses. In 2015, HomeFirst™, along with our residents, raised over $10,000 and were able to grant wishes for children like Thomas and Bryn, who both took trips to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
HomeFirst™ is also a proud supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting neuromuscular diseases like muscular dystrophy and ALS. The money this organization raises goes toward funding research and making sure individuals affected by these diseases and their families are able to get the care and support they need.
We’re also big believers in giving back to the people who have dedicated their lives to making our world a better place. Our Hometown Heroes program provides discounts on site rent for veterans, active military members, teachers, doctors, nurses, police officers, and firefighters. These are people who do so much to keep us safe and improve our lives, we’re proud to help give them a safe, affordable place to call home.
HomeFirst™ believes in giving back to the communities that we – and our residents – call home. Through these, and other charitable actions, we’re able to give back and say thanks to our communities, residents, and the whole world around us.
