6 Michigan Events to Enjoy in June

It’s hard to believe, but June is winding down. That means we’re already halfway through 2014! Where did all the time go? Before you turn the page on June, try one of these exciting events taking place in communities across Michigan. As always, information is courtesy of Michigan.org.

 

1. Reds Whites and the Blues Cruise

Location: Detroit
Date: 6/18

Description: This is not your average wine tasting! Whether you enjoy sipping on reds, whites, or listening to the blues, this is an excellent chance to try something new. From the most novice tasters to the experienced, let our team of wine experts please your palette. More info.

2. Taste of the Great Lakes Bay
Location: Saginaw
Date: 6/18
Description: Taste all that Great Lakes Bay Region has to offer with food and wine sampling along with some great live music. More info.

3. Red Cedar Jubilee
Location: Williamston
Date: 6/16 – 6/22
Description: Our weeklong festival has a kids parade, truck pull, demolition derby, car show, grand parade, Boy Scout breakfast, steak and beverage tent, lawn mower races, tractor pulls, arts & crafts and duck drop. More info.

4. Brew at the Zoo
Location: Saginaw
Date: 6/19
Description: Enjoy the summer sun while sipping on Michigan craft beers and wines, swaying to live music, and munching on delicious treats by Outback Steakhouse, Dave’s Texas Pit B-B-Q, and the Pâtisserie. 6pm – 9pm. More info.

5. Bay-Rama Fish Fly Festival
Location: New Baltimore
Date: 6/19
Description: The world’s one and only fish fly festival! Located in Downtown New Baltimore, we are celebrating our 50-year anniversary this year! We have carnival rides, kids games, a Pirate and Princess Party, fireworks, a Grande Parade, cardboard boat regatta, Wii dance party, the Miss Bay Rama pageant and much more! More info.

6. Northville Summer Carnival
Location: Northville
Date: 6/19 – 6/22
Description: The carnival midway returns to Northville in June 2014 with plenty of rides, games, and other amusements. The four day carnival will be located at Northville Downs parking lot, located at the corner of 7 Mile/Sheldon, and will feature midway rides, games and other amusement attractions. More info.
