5 Michigan Events to Enjoy in July

Summer is cruising along and there are plenty of golden opportunities to soak up the sun. Cities across the state of the Michigan are playing host to events this July that your family is sure to enjoy! Here’s a list of events taking place near HomeFirstTM Certified Communities. 1. Christmas in July Summer Cruise

2. Jazz in the Garden

Description: Jazz in the Garden Summer sizzles at Meadow Brook with live jazz, a summer concert series featuring local jazz musicians. The evening includes light hors d’ oeuvres and a main floor tour of The Hall. More info.
3. Ann Arbor Art Fair
Location: Ann Arbor
Date: 7/16 – 7/19
Description: The Ann Arbor Art Fair is a group of four award-winning art fairs that take place every July in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event attracts over 500,000 visitors annually. The 2014 Art Fair will take place July 16-19, 2014. Artists display their latest work and engage the imaginations of more than 500,000 annual fairgoers. The varied parts of the fair fit together to form an amazing impression – full of sound and color and mystery and drama. More info.
4. New Haven Rocket Fest
Location: New Haven
Date: 7/19
Description: Come to the Village of New Haven on July 19th for Rocket Fest 2014! Arts and Crafts, inflatables, a Rib Cook-off, Pie-Eating contest, entertainment on the Main Stage, the NHLL annual Softball Tournament, and so much more. The activities come to a close at dusk with a celebration of the New Haven fireworks. More info.
5. The Great Lakes Comic Expo
Location: Mount Clemens
Date: 7/19
Description: The Great Lakes Comic Expo is a comic book, toy, and collectible show. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church 38900 Harper Ave. (between 16 Mile Rd/Metro Parkway and Crocker Blvd.). Regular admission $3. 11am to 4pm. Children 10 and under are free! More info.
