5 Events to Enjoy Before February Ends

Believe it or not, we’re already approaching the last weekend in February! While the shortest month of the year is almost over, there’s still so much fun to be had. Of course, there’s always something going on in your HomeFirstTM Certified Community at all times of the year. But if you’re looking for a quick escape, carve out some time to enjoy one of the following February events:

1) Aqua Freeze Festival (St. Clair Shores)

Stop by St. Clair Shores for some frozen fun. There will be plenty of activities for both children and adults, including ice carvings and ice-skating. More info.

2) Jazzistry (Ypsilanti)

If you love Jazz, don’t miss out on this event. Some of Motown’s best musicians will be performing great music for dancing spiced with 50s West Coast Jazz. It should be an unforgettable night! More info.

3) Mini Chili Cook-Off (Lansing)

What’s better than homemade chili? A lot of homemade chili! Stop by Lansing to sample different chili and salsas and vote for your favorite ones. The event is free and food is great, so don’t be shy! More info.

4) Traverse City Restaurant Week (Traverse City)

If you find yourself up north for some skiing this weekend, stop by Traverse City for some delicious eats. Participating restaurants will offer three course meals for just $25 per person. Call 231-922-2050 to get a reservation. More info.

5) Outdoorama (Novi)

All of your favorite outdoor activities under one roof! From hunting and boating to hiking and canoeing, this show has a lot to offer. Outdoorama is also a great place to shop for new boats and accessories. More info.
